Adventure Legend, the story
Adventure Legends has sprouted from the roots of Garwhal and has been made a reality by the efforts and passion of one individual, Manish Joshi. Looking to disrupt the general trend of adventure camps, Manish used his vast previous experiences and knowledge to create a new experience, gaining the recognition of a pioneer in adventure tourism.
From a very young age he has gone above and beyond, achieving world records while attending and excelling in Doon School. At the age of fourteen, Manish, an avid aeromodeller , became the youngest in the world to design and construct a man carrying microlite aircraft. (1985) Yet another world record was achieved at age seventeen. He became the youngest person to cross the risky Khardungla pass (the highest motorable road in the world) on his Enfield Bullet motorcycle. (1989)
He recognized his passions and perused a paragliding courses from Germany, eventually deciding to return to his roots and start Pargliding in his home town of Pauri. For him giving up the modern trends of city life and choosing to stay in the lap of nature was without question the right choice and he continued on to pursue his dreams.
This infatuation for adventure has led him discover a world class Paragliding site in the beautiful hills of Pauri Garhwal, where he is originally from. It is due to his herculean efforts that Pauri witnessed several hundred Paragliders and Paragliding Groups from different parts of the world.
